What is S3-compatible cloud storage?
It is object storage that speaks the same API as Amazon S3. Any backup software, NAS or app that supports Amazon S3 can store data on ALTN S3 Cloud Storage by entering our endpoint, access key and secret key.
Can I use it for Veeam, Synology or QNAP backups?
Yes. It works as an S3 repository for Veeam Backup & Replication, Synology Hyper Backup, QNAP Hybrid Backup Sync and similar tools. Setup assistance is free — just open a ticket after ordering.
Are there egress or API charges?
No API request charges. Downloads are free up to 3× the amount of data you store each month, which covers normal restores and use.
Where is my data stored?
In a secure data centre region chosen for your account (Asia, Europe or the US). Need a specific region for compliance? Tell us before ordering.
Is my backup safe from ransomware?
Enable object lock and versioning on your bucket to make backup copies immutable for a set period, so they cannot be deleted or encrypted by attackers.
Do you provide a GST invoice?
Yes. All prices are in Indian Rupees and you get a GST-compliant invoice from Altn Technology (GSTIN 06CCKPS7664E1Z5). 18% GST is added at checkout.
Can I upgrade my storage later?
